Why Did I Choose You? (Part Three)

Who knew how extremely appropriate this song title would be?...

Okay, so now that I've had a good couple days to digest the monstrosity that was the Bachelorette Season Finale, here are my thoughts:

1. Jason is so gonna be the next Bachelor. While Jason is obviously a great catch, I may have issue with him leaving his son to be on television again...

2. DeAnna is smoking crack. Okay, maybe she's not completely smoking crack; she's just 26 years old. I'm guessing she's still in the "I want to have a fun life" stage and will progress in to the "What the hell was I thinking choosing a snowboarder over a hottie from Kirkland" phase in a year. Pink shoelaces and tee shirts with ties on them are cute when your 26. Not so much when you're 40.

3. They are so not getting married. Did you see Jesse practically puking in the bushes when he went to get the engagement ring? Multiply that by a thousand and that's what he'll do every day for the next year while they plan their wedding. I think they are a snowboarding trip and half away from breaking up.

4. Chris Harrison is friggin' hullarious. Seriously, did you watch that Sausage Fest Reunion last week? That dude is rad. Especially when he was "helping" DeAnna choose guys for a rose ceremony and kept on referencing Sean's mullet. Seriously, Chris is awesome.

5. Mrs. J and I got way to excited/obsessed with the Bachelorette this season. I can't count how many times during our IM session (and yes, we were on IM to each other during the entire 3-hour finale) that we were yelling at the TiVo, screaming when they went to commercial, and wrote "omg omg omg omg" and "mw mw".

Needless to say, the finale was pretty disappointing for me even though I was thinking DeAnna was too good for Jason anyway. I can't believe how devoted to the show I was this year. It's probably the first (of many) season(s) that I've actually given a shit what happens during the finale. I usually just watch the first episode of each season to see what the inevitable crazy-eyed girl/guy does to "impress" the bachelor/ette!

Coming soon...So You Think You Can Dance commentary (after I watch tonight's show tomorrow morning) and a review of the movie The Orphanage - one of the scariest and yet depressing movies I've seen in a long time.
